Building Code Violations III — Special Economic Zone

This publication is released as the exhibition brochure for “Building Code Violations III – Special Economic Zone”, covering the artworks and introductions of 15 participating artists and collectives as well as 3 commentary articles. The exhibition presents reflections around the children of reform –contemporary art, market economy and science and technology development, focusing on how they would contemplate the technological shift that has occurred since the beginning of Reform and Opening Up. Through the eyes of the participating artists, the exhibition enters into the theoretically-rich arena of various technologies and special areas, sharing multiple views on the story of science and technology’s growth in contemporary China.
