First Printing Time: 2005

Bound book/Paperback: Paperback

Miniature Long March is a performance artwork made by artist Qin Ga in response to the significant artistic project of Chinese contemporary art in 2002:“Long March––A Walking Visual Display”. This publication takes Qin Ga’s own explication as the main storyline, and applies a large number of image materials to fit the narrative, mapping the artist’s physical and psychological experiences retracing the Long March on his own, starting from Beijing on May 1st until June 1st, 2005. This book is a combination of the artist’s portfolio, autobiographies, interviews, comments and news photos, like a documentary that “screens” Qin Ga’s endeavour to generate new historical narration and representation by making his own body the carrier of blended public memory and private feelings.
